WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-This month’s Surtex will debut a feature on digital technology in its ReSource Hub.
This new focus will present the latest technological advancements in digital printing, software and trend gathering, for both attendees and exhibitors. Among the exhibitors will be Hewlett-Packard, which will offer digital printing equipment such as the HP Latex 360 Printer, which enables design studios to immediately print proofs in house, directly on production material.
In addition, a collaboration between Surtex, First2Print and Design Works International, called Design-A-Seat, which will promote the use of digital domestic resources by design professionals to streamline their product development from concept through finished product. Design-A-Seat will showcase some 15 “seats,” each with a theme, story and design details, created by way of custom digital printing.
Other exhibitors in the ReSource Hub will display, software, forecasting and trend services, books, reference materials and other products and services.

Surtex is scheduled for May 18-20 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
