WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–Surtex has slated its conference program for the trade show, which will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from May 20-22.
Titled “Art & Design Business Perspectives: Bottom Line Success for Designers, Manufacturers and Retailers,” the program will have 10 sessions presented by industry experts and professionals from many aspects of licensing, manufacturing and retailing. Some sessions will focus on legal considerations and strategies, and on future trends that will affect the art licensing industry.
The three themes of the sessions will be “Fundamentals,” “Operations” and “Insights.” The Fundamentals session, which are scheduled for May 20, will highlight issues regarding basic art licensing and legal aspects. The Operations sessions, slated for May 21, are aimed at manufacturers, retailers, agents, established artists and licensors, and others involved in creative work, product development and licensing.
The Insights sessions, which will take place on May 22, will deal with opportunities and challenges in the digital world, and the impact on art licensing from the changing retail scene.
