WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-The 2014 Surtex trade show will take place from May 18-20 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, its usual location.
A statement from GLM, the show’s owner and manager, said next year’s Surtex will have a bigger footprint to accommodate an anticipated increase in participants from around the world. The show will have about 325 exhibiting artists, designers, studios, agencies and design resources, about 10 percent more than at Surtex 2013. Attendance is expected to exceed 6,000 art buyers and licensees from more than 50 countries, representing industries ranging from textiles to wall coverings, home furnishings, floor coverings, greeting cards, social stationery, housewares, tabletop, paper products, beauty, packaging, giftware and others.
The Surtex conference program will encompass from 10 to 12 educational sessions featuring industry experts, an on-floor Trend Theatre offering ongoing presentations from trend forecasters, designext student competition displays and social networking events.
