WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-The program for this year’s Surtex will feature a series of presentations on color, texture and design trends for 2014-2015.
The sessions will be led by eight trend experts from the United States and Europe, and will encompass 16 30-minute sessions at the Surtex Trend Theatre. They will focus on the latest trends affecting textiles, tabletop, home and accessories, apparel, paper, stationery, packaging and gifts.
The presentations will include “Color: From Inspiration to Consumer,” from Mitch Cole, director of sales at Pantone; “Interior Trends 2014-15,” from Milou Ket, founder of Milou Ket styling and design; “Bringing Texture to Textiles: A Need for Depth, from Emmanuelle Linard,” partner/executive director of Edelkoort Inc.; “Inspirations: Reconstruction and Lyrical and Enlightenment and Distinction,” two sessions from Jeanine Milillo, managing director of PeclersParis North America; “Discovering a New Color Language for Autumn/Winter 2014-15,” from Kim Palmeter, Pantone’s marketing manager; “Iconic Moments in Color,” from Ron Potensky, Pantone’s senior vice president and general manager; “Trend Drivers for Autumn/Winter 2014-15: Strategic and Creative Cross-Inspiration,” from Marcella Segala, director East Coast of Carlin International; and “Fall/Winter 2014-15 Megatrends,” from Jamie Thomas, trend director of Stylesight.
Surtex is scheduled for May 19-21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
