CHICAGO–Protect-A-Bed has begun a contest inviting consumers to submit videos about how a good night’s sleep will help them in the New Year.
Creators of the best video will win a weekend getaway and possibly see their concept used as part of the company’s next advertising campaign. Consumers can upload videos to YouTube from today until Jan. 25, and share a link to their “commercial” on a form on Protect-A-Bed’s website. A panel of judges will choose three finalists, and the public will be invited to vote to help select the final winner, which will be announced on Jan. 31.
The videos, which should be no long than 1 1/2 minutes, should communicate why getting better sleep will help them to have a good New Year. Participants are also being encouraged to share their videos on Facebook and Twitter, and should encourage their friends to vote from Jan. 25-29, because the video with the most channel views will win the grand prize.
