NEW YORK-The Natori Company will launch barware and table linen collections with licensee JLA Home at the tabletop market here next week.
The barware collection evokes a contemporary point of view to Natori’s East-West sensibility, the company said, and features a variety of different metals and intricate techniques, including three-dimensional dragon details, a fretwork pattern and wood grain carved in metal. Items include entertainment pieces such as an ice bucket and tongs, cocktail shaker, wine coaster, serving trays and cocktail swizzle sticks.
The table linen collection features napkins, placemats and table runners inspired by Toile de Jouy. This black and white collection has a Chinoiserie motif, depicting an Indochine lifestyle theme with figures, pagodas, animals and exotic flowers. The black and white reversible placemats are quilted in a fretwork pattern on Natori bamboo Fretwork Jacquard, bound with a geometric woven ribbon.
“I love to collect exotic, beautiful objects from around the world – intricate textiles, antiquities and artisan designs,” said Josie Natori, founder and CEO of Natori. “Inspired by my passion for uniqueness, each piece in our barware and table linen collection is handcrafted to be a personal treasure: a modern harmony of East and West, a sensual palette of color and texture, a glamorous thread to weave into your life each and every day.”
