NEW YORK–Ralph Lauren Corporation has appointed Ian Sears to the position of president of the Home Collection Division.
Sears succeeds Frank Guzzetta who will assist with the transition ahead of his upcoming retirement.
Prior to joining Ralph Lauren, Sears was chief marketing officer for Restoration Hardware where he also served as senior vice president of the direct-to-consumer business and played a senior role in the merchandising area.
Sears’ extensive experience in the home industry began with Macy’s and included tenure as a divisional merchandise manager with Williams-Sonoma.
In his new role at Ralph Lauren as president, Home Collection, Sears will assume responsibility for the Ralph Lauren, Lauren, Chaps and American Living brands. Sears will report directly to Jackwyn Nemerov, executive vice president of wholesale brands, licensed products, sourcing, merchandising, home and Asia Pacific.
As part of the Home reorganization, William Li has been promoted to senior vice president for the Ralph Lauren brand. Li joined Ralph Lauren in 2010, as vice president of marketing, advertising and communications. Li retains responsibility for marketing and communications for all home brands and the trade showrooms, while expanding his scope of responsibility to include sales, merchandising, planning and European business development for Ralph Lauren Home.
Li will report to both David Lauren, executive vice president of global advertising, marketing and communications and Ian Sears.
