ATLANTA-The fourth annual Home Textiles Sourcing Expo, which took place last month, drew 149 exhibitors, a 2 percent increase over last year’s show, according to a statement from Messe Frankfurt, the show’s owner and organizer.
The event took place at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, co-located with Messe Frankfurt’s Texworld USA and International Apparel Sourcing Show. Together, the three events drew 5,292 attendees and 731 exhibitors, Messe Frankfurt said.
The company co-organizes the show with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. This year’s show saw the premiere of a new India Pavilion, produced by the Indian government’s Handloom Export Promotion Council. It consisted of 10 companies which showcased table linens, kitchen textiles, window treatments, cushion covers, fabrics, rugs, bath mats, carpets and cotton dhurries, among other products.
“The co-location of Home Textiles Sourcing Expo with Texworld USA in July continues to gain traction with sourcing professionals, as they are able to cross-source between the two shows,” said John Gallagher, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt USA.
