NEW YORK-The Tommy Hilfiger Group has reached an agreement with LF USA, the Li & Fung subsidiary, for a licensed collection of home decor.
The license will officially begin in January, and the first collection is slated to appear at retail in spring. The spring collection will include bedding, bath, tabletop and decorative accessories, designed in beach and summer motifs. Next fall will bring a collection that will add furniture and rugs to the product lineup, which will feature what a joint statement from the two companies described as “preppy, collegiate pieces for home.”
The statement added that the Hilfiger home collection will be available in select Tommy Hilfiger stores, Macy’s and select department stores and specialty stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It will also be offered on tommy.com, the designer brand’s website, in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
Since 1997, Hilfiger has had a license for bedding and bath with Revman International. A Hilfiger spokesman said this license is due to expire at the end of 2013.
