NEW YORK–The Home Fashion Products Association’s Young Professionals have scheduled a showroom “crawl” for Sept. 17, the Friday of the New York Home Fashions Market.
According to an HFPA statement, the crawl will serve to introduce students to the home furnishings business. Industry experts will be in each showroom to explain the scope of their companies, talk about the products and discuss opportunities available to young professionals in their companies.
The crawl will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the 7 W New York showroom building. The Royal Linens-Yunus Textile Mills, InterDesign, Waverly-Storage Sense via Compact, Novelties and Textrade showrooms will be visited.
In addition, HFPA will have a speaker series in which retailers and industry veterans will address the students about different aspects and opportunities in the industry. The speakers will be Greg DeLoia of QVC, Mark Grand of Peking Handicraft and Ken Rood of KJR Home.
