MASON, Ohio-Chuck Northcutt has been appointed vice president of quality assurance for Downlite International, the basic-bedding manufacturer.
In his new role, Northcutt is responsible for developing and leading quality-assurance and process-improvement initiatives. He will also handle domestic and international regulatory compliance matters and sustainability for the company’s global supply chain. He reports to Jim Lape, Downlite’s CEO.
The position is a new one for the company. Lape said Downlite has always been committed to quality, and the naming of Northcutt as vice president of quality assurance “is taking our commitment to an ever-higher level.”
Before joining Downlite, Northcutt held executive-level quality-assurance positions with Pacific Coast Feather, Glen Raven, Malden Mills and Pillowtex.
