WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Vendors from 18 countries have confirmed that they will participate in the second edition of Artisan Resource, the market for artisanal producers that will run concurrently with the New York International Gift Fair.
The show, which made its debut at the Gift Fair this past summer, connects artisanal manufacturers with U.S.-based volume importers, direct-import retailers and wholesalers. It is scheduled for Jan. 27-29 at Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 92 in New York City—which, along with Pier 94 and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, serves as the venue for the Gift Fair.
Allison Rober, sales manager for Artisan Resource, called it “truly a global market.” Companies are chosen to participate in the show based on their dedication to design innovation and cultural preservation. Sustainable materials and production processes used by select Artisan Resource exhibitors will also be showcased in NYIGF’s SustainAbility: design for a better world exhibit, which will be located in the Javits Center.
The Gift Fair will take place from Jan. 26-29.
