NEW YORK-Chris Madden Inc. is partnering with Idea Nuova Global on a line of textiles that will mark the designer’s re-emergence in this category.
The new collection will consist of bedding, window treatments, throws and decorative pillows. It will make its first appearance at next month’s New York Home Fashions Market.
Madden had previously offered a textiles collection with J.C. Penney, which debuted in 2003 and ran at the retailer for eight years. In addition, Madden has offered licensed collections through Mohawk Home and Bassett Furniture. According to Nick Madden, executive vice president of Chris Madden Inc., the brand has generated about $2 billion in retail sales.
Madden came to the forefront as the first design correspondent on “Oprah” and as host of her own television show on HGTV for eight seasons. She is the author of 18 books and has served as editor of a number of magazines.
