COSTA MESA, Calif.-Scott Gladstone, president of Anna’s Linens, has been named CEO, succeeding his father and the company’s founder, Alan Gladstone, who remains as chairman.
Scott Gladstone joined Anna’s in 2005 and was named president in 2012. A company statement said the elevation of Gladstone to CEO will ensure that the retailer will remain a family-run business. “Scott has spent the last eight years at Anna’s bringing innovation and business improvements to many different areas of the company,” Alan Gladstone said.
“This company has always been about evolving, and this succession in leadership is yet another example of how we ensure that we are well positioned for the future,” Scott Gladstone said. Before joining Anna’s, Gladstone served as president of the U.S. division of Sparco, a global manufacturer of automotive performance products and safety equipment.
Alan Gladstone founded Anna’s in 1987. The company now numbers more than 300 stores in 19 states.
