ROSEMONT, Ill.-Total buyer attendance rose at the International Home + Housewares Show on March 15-18, according to the International Housewares Association, the show’s owner and operator.
On the exhibitor front, the show was sold out with 2,100 exhibitors from 45 countries. The attendance increase (for which figures were not given in an IHA statement) included “significant growth from outside the United States,” IHA said. Phil Brandl, IHA’s president, said the “very high attendance” began with the Saturday opening and continued through the close of the show.
“The show’s Saturday morning opening is a proven success and once again received high praise from our Retailer Advisory Councils as well as from exhibitors,” Brandl said. He added that the exhibitor count included 435 new exhibitors, and that more than 10,000 new products were on display.
The 2015 Housewares Show is scheduled for March 7-15 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Attendee registration and additional show information are available on IHA’s website, housewares.org.
