ROSEMONT, Ill.-The International Housewares Association is expanding its array of social-media access to keep attendees of the International Home + Housewares Show informed on events at the show.
IHA will be sending out Twitter feeds and Facebook postings during the show, along with providing access to the association’s show blog, providing information on events, the newest products and trends. In addition, attendees can plan their show visits before arriving in Chicago through Housewares Connect 365 and the show’s mobile application. Attendees and exhibitors can also visit Social Media Central and the show’s Digital Commerce Solutions Pavilion—located in the Grand Concourse Lobby of the North Building of McCormick Place, the show’s location—to meet with experts in social media and digital commerce.
Housewares Connect 365, the show’s year-round search tool, is at housewares.org/housewaresconnect365 and provides updates on show-related events, displays, the Cooking Theater schedule and educational presentations. The 2014 show app, 2014ih+hs, provides the benefits of Housewares Connect 365 through users’ smart phones, providing search capability that includes brands and licenses, Made in the USA exhibitors and their contact information. The app also enables users to add “notes” to an exhibitor’s record, which can then be exported and emailed to their computers.
Attendees and exhibitors can also follow the show live through Twitter at @HousewaresShow, and stay tuned in to the show’s Twitter topics for all updates. Posts will be shown in real time on the Twitter Wall, located in the Grand Concourse Lobby.
