NEW YORK–Christofle will participate in the French Design Connection event, taking place here next week.
The event, which will take place May 18-21 at the Chambers Hotel, will feature more than 70 works devoted to French luxury and will celebrate artistic innovation and traditional French craftsmanship in the United States. Christofle will feature pieces from a wide range of collaborating designers, showcasing a number of limited-edition creations from its Haute Orfèvrerie workshop. Works will include three Nest bowls designed by Stéphane Parmentier, Ora-Ito’s swiveling four-light Arborescence candelabra, Météore by Richard Hutten and Karim Rashid’s Urban Facet vase.
The French Design Connection will also debut an inaugural American exhibition at New York Design Week. The progressive exhibition will reinterpret the conventional gallery display and encourage collaborative dialog on the meaning and direction of modern French design.
