Burnes of Boston is introducing an assortment of home decor from some of the country’s most talented and best-known interior designers.
The new line, known as Burnes Interiors, includes photo frames, mirrors, candleholders and other decorative accessories created by a “dream team” of celebrity interior designers known for their many television shows and appearances: Candice Olson, Vern Yip, Paige Hemmis, Kenneth Brown and Genevieve Gorder.
“Initial response to the new line has been overwhelming,” said Mike Kirkland, president of Burnes. “Burnes Interiors enables retailers to customize their assortments with items created by the best and brightest interior designers working today.”
Burnes Interiors products, which capture each designer’s distinctive style, will be packaged in collections so consumers can easily recreate interiors conceived by these professionals. Individual items, as well as the interior designers’ signature pieces, created to “anchor” a room, will also be available. Many are versatile enough to work in a variety of rooms and spaces and perform multiple functions. Every Burnes Interiors product also includes directions from the designers themselves to help consumers decorate their homes, plus suggestions for ways they can incorporate their own personal touches.
“We started by asking each member of our dream team simply to create ‘a space’ of their own choosing,” said Kirkland. “The whole idea is for a person to walk into a store, connect with a particular space or designer’s style—as they probably already have, watching these experts on television—and, for the first time, pick it up and bring it home.”
Burnes has executed long-term agreements with the designers, Kirkland said, so consumers will be able to add to and enhance their Burnes Interiors collections over the next several seasons.
“It’s exciting to be part of the Burnes of Boston design team, since it reaches so many people,” said Kenneth Brown, who has designed homes for such celebrities as Zac Efron, Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra. “Every budget deserves great design.”
Vern Yip, the award-winning architectural and interior designer who is known for clean, modern designs with an eclectic touch, concurred. “Professional interior designers know how to find that common thread—in architecture, design, and decoration—that pulls everything together into a beautiful, cohesive, professionally designed space. That’s exactly what the Burnes Interiors collections do,” he said.
Suggested retail prices for Burnes Interiors range from $30 to $200 for the boxed collections, and from $10 to $150 for individual items. The line will be in stores this fall.
