NEW YORK–The tabletop market held at 7 W New York earlier this month was an overall success, according to Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., who owns the permanent showroom building.

“Characterized by productive appointments, strong optimism and a diverse group of buyers, 7 W showrooms took advantage of synergistic opportunities outside their usual targets and reported excellent results from the market,” read a statement from MMPI.

The building reported a diverse group of retail visitors, including Barney’s New York, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Costco, Gilt Groupe, Macy’s and Michael C. Fina.

In a statement, Steven Smits of Kohl’s said, “Everyone has been in a really upbeat, positive mood and seems to be doing well. You can see it in the products as well-lots of color. 7 W has really been a great resource for us.”

“It is really exciting to see so many of our tenants enjoying success in the multiple markets we serve,” said Chris Collins, vice president and general manager. “So much of our tenants’ success was based on newfound business, which came through new channels. This is critical for all business and it is part of what 7 W brings to the table as a diverse marketplace. Our goal is help all of our tenants expand their business into new, previously unchartered territory.”
