SAN FRANCISCO-Williams-Sonoma has named Ronald Young senior vice president, global, with the primary responsibility to grow the retailer’s portfolio of brands outside of the United States.
Young will work in partnership with Williams-Sonoma’s brand presidents at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm to increase each brand’s international business. He will direct the expansion of the network of company-owned stores, e-commerce sites and franchise partnerships worldwide. He reports directly to Laura Alber, president and CEO.
Young is succeeding Craig Nomura, who left Williams-Sonoma to become executive vice president and president of global retail at Levi Strauss. Before joining Williams-Sonoma, Young held executive positions in global markets for Children’s Place (most recently), Pepsi-Cola, Gap Inc. and Express.
