BOSTON-Kristine Kennedy has been named editorial director of wayfair.com, a website that carries home furnishings.
Kennedy thus has assumed responsibility over the site’s content and the strategy behind that content in this newly created position. This may eventually include creating interactive planning tools and trend information, overseeing photography, forming partnerships with design experts, operating a blog and initiating outreach by way of social media. She reports to Eric Klose, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Before joining wayfair.com, Kennedy was East Coast editor for Better Homes and Gardens magazine. She was with the magazine for 17 years.
Currently, wayfair.com offers an estimated 5,000 brands of furniture, lighting, cookware and other home products. It numbers 11 million visitors each month, according to a company statement.
