TJX Realigns Management; Herrman Named President

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—The TJX Cos. has restructured its management as it continues to plan for the succession of its leadership.

As part of this realignment, Ernie Herrman, senior executive vice president and group president, has been promoted to president of the company. Carol Meyrowitz continues as chief executive officer and as a company director, and has entered into another two-year employment agreement. Herrman and Jeffrey Naylor, senior executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer, report to Meyrowitz.

Also, Nan Stutz, president of the HomeGoods division, has been named senior executive vice president and group president. Michael MacMillan, president of The Marmaxx Group, has been promoted to senior executive vice president and group president. Stutz and MacMillan report to Herrman, as do Jerome Rossi, senior executive vice president for real estate, logistics and procurement; Paul Sweetenham, senior executive vice president and head of TJX Europe; and Greg Flores, chief human resources officer.

Meyrowitz said the new structure provides “an effective, seamless leadership succession plan,” which will allow her to delegate more day-to-day responsibilities and reduce her overall time commitment.
