MINNEAPOLIS-Target has launched six brands exclusive to its website, target.com, which include four in the home-decor category.
The home brands are Too by Blu Dot, a label of contemporary-styled furniture; MudHut, which encompasses bedding, textiles and accessories featuring bold textures, vibrant motifs and colorways from Africa, Asia and Latin America; Room 365, featuring bedding in bold colors and modern prints; and Boho Boutique, an assortment of bedding, table linens, window treatments, shower curtains and other products designed in whimsical prints patterns. Also on offer are two apparel brands: Labworks, offering women’s ready-to-wear; and Zutano Blue, a line of clothing for young children.
All of these brands are exclusive to target.com. Theresa Schmidt, divisional merchandise manager, said the brands are expected to help differentiate the website from those of other online retailers. “We know our guests are increasingly connected and are shopping online more,” Schmidt said, “so we wanted to offer guests something new, unique and unexpected.”
