SnapRetail’s Facebook Page Hits Top Ten List for Small Businesses

       

       

PITTSBURGH–SnapRetail, a technology provider to independent retailers in the gift and home product market, has been awarded third place in Social Media Examiner’s 2011 contest for “Top 10 Small Business Facebook Pages” nationwide.

Out of more than 1,400 nominations, Social Media Examiner’s panel of Facebook experts reviewed companies’ Facebook landing pages, engagement, reader involvement and creative use of promotions. SnapRetail’s use of quotes, links and personal stories in posts and a welcome tab with good video and integration with other social media platforms were among the features the judges recognized. In addition, Social Media Examiner cited SnapRetail’s “Snappy Hour” as a great way to increase conversation, involvement and answer social media marketing questions.

 “We find that independent retailers are hungry for easy-to-understand information on Facebook to use in their own businesses,” said Crystal Vilkaitis, director of social media at SnapRetail. “So we load SnapRetail’s Facebook page with lots of how-to’s for our customers.”

The company was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine earlier this year as one of America’s 100 Brilliant Companies.
