HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.–Sears Holdings has debuted digital local advertising on searslocalad.com and kmartlocalad.com, as a way of providing consumers with real deals near them in real time, according to a company statement.
The digital local ads provide shoppers with prices and offers from their local Sears and Kmart stores, along with real-time stock checks and access to ads 24 hours a day. Visitors to the two sites are able to shop by category, create shopping lists and share lists by email or print them for in-store shopping, or send them to their mobile devices. In addition, members of the company’s Shop Your Way Rewards program can now preview upcoming sale items.
Down the road, according to the statement, Shop Your Way Rewards members will be able to collect rewards, create interactive shopping lists and review product information such as consumer ratings and reviews for most products.
Dave Friedman, senior vice president and president of marketing for Sears Holdings, said, “The new digital local ads allow us to customize promotional offers to local communities so we can better service our customers, while saving them time and money.”
