HUNTINGTON, N.Y.–Williams-Sonoma, Inc. will open PBteen and West Elm stores on Long Island this Thursday, Nov. 7 at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington, N.Y.
The PBteen store joins its sister brands Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the first-ever combined location, with pass-through access to all three stores, Williams-Sonoma said. This will be the 16th PBteen location in the United States. The 9,948 square-foot West Elm store is the first on Long Island.
The new PBteen store will be anchored around the PBteen Design Lab, where teens and their parents can engage with the brand and its products by digitally creating a personalized room at no charge. Using drag and drop technology, teens can experiment with different room configurations and color combinations to quickly see their designs come to life on a television screen overhead. Pottery Barn Kids is introducing Design Studio, a resource for parents and parents-to-be looking for advice and inspiration to create their dream nursery, kid’s bedroom, play and study spaces.
Regarding the West Elm store, Jim Brett, president of West Elm, said, “We are excited to continue to grow the West Elm brand with new locations around the world. The Walt Whitman store will be a creative, community-driven space with products and services designed to help customers discover their personal style at home.”
