MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis.–Yesterday marked the grand opening of 30 new Kohl’s stores across 20 states.
The openings occurred in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming. They bring Kohl’s current store count to 1,127 stores covering 49 states.
The new stores offer updated checkout stations; upgraded fitting rooms, which include lounges in Misses and Juniors; a customer service area relocated to the front of the store in most locations; in-store e-commerce kiosks; and electronic signage throughout the stores. Kevin Mansell, chairman, president and CEO, said Kohl’s has invested in its existing store base as well, remodeling 100 stores this year or 18 percent more than in 2010.
