J.C.Penney’s Peterson, Consultant Zacharia Elected to MSLO Board

       

       

NEW YORK-J.C. Penney executive Robert Peterson and Michael Zacharia, an executive coach and consultant, have been elected to the board of directors of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO).

Peterson is the department-store retailer’s senior vice president of corporate strategy, and oversees strategy and long-range planning. His career also includes executive positions with Piper Jaffray, including global head of equities and head of private client services.

Prior to his current consulting practice, Zacharia was executive vice president for business development, general counsel and secretary at DFS Group, the travel retail company. Before that, he was partner at the law firm of Wiley Rein & Fielding. His career also includes serving as assistant secretary of commerce for export administration in the administrations of President Reagan and the senior President Bush, and  as deputy assistant secretary of state for international trade controls and special counsel to the undersecretary for international trade in the U.S. Commerce Department, both in the Reagan administration.
