Dollar General to Open 625 Stores, Move Into New Territories in Fiscal 2011

       

       

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.–Dollar General has announced sweeping expansion plans for the coming fiscal year.

In fiscal 2011, the retailer said in a statement, it will open 625 new stores, which will include entry into three new states—Connecticut, Nevada and New Hampshire. Also, the company said it plans to remodel or relocate 550 of its current stores.

At this time, Dollar General encompasses more than 9,200 stores in 35 states.
