GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.–Dollar General’s e-commerce channel, dollargeneral.com, is scheduled to go live on Sept. 8.
The new site will offer name-brand and private-label merchandise, which will include home decor. In the week’s after its debut, the site will carry items that are only available on dollargeneral.com and will not be available in the stores. The company said the site has easy-to-navigate departments and secure checkout with the choice to pay by credit cards, debit cards or Paypal.
Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s chairman and CEO, said, “Launching an e-commerce site allows us to reach existing customers as well as customers who live outside our 35-state market area.”
