LAKEWOOD, Colo.–Business technology provider Brandwise will debut an off-line iPad application this January that will include features from its Visual Merchandiser order capture and sales presentation tool.
The move to develop the application is a strategic step in Brandwise’s long-term goal for its technology to be hardware independent, so clients can use its software regardless of what platform they have, whether it’s a Windows laptop, desktop or tablet, Pocket PC, Mac or iPad. The company recently entered into an exclusive agreement with fellow Colorado-based tech company InspireSmart Solutions for them to design the front end of the application and convert Brandwise’s extensive back end business logic to work on an iPad.
“We’ve been providing distributed, off-line applications for over 14 years,” said Todd Litzman, president, Brandwise. “We understand what it takes to deliver and maintain these types of applications and have the proven support infrastructure to handle them — another key component in the selection of right long term partner…We currently connect with thousands of suppliers with our technology. By providing a fully integrated iPad solution we allow these suppliers to continue to benefit from this information pipeline regardless of the hardware platform used to take the orders.”
Brandwise will continue to develop its Rep Portal application, which enables sales reps to enter customer orders using a web browser for those who don’t wish to have a local application. It will also be widely available in the first quarter of the new year.
