Bloomingdale’s Dubai is a 146,000-square-foot, three-level department store filled with apparel and accessories. The new Home store is a one-level, 54,000-square-foot location.
“This is a momentous occasion for us to be opening the first international Bloomingdale’s stores in the Middle East and in the world’s largest shopping mall,” said Michael Gould, Bloomingdale’s U.S. chairman and chief executive officer, who was in Dubai for the launch. “We recognize Dubai as a location that offers a dynamic and innovative retail environment and we look forward to adding to the success of our iconic stores in the U.S.A..”
Highlights of the Home store include a gift registry; a state of the art demonstration kitchen for live cooking and a team of full-time interior designers at the Interior Design Studio to assist customers.
