UNION, N.J.-Bed Bath & Beyond’s new website has gone live, offering a more customizable approach for shoppers.
Key features of the site include the ability for a consumer to create an account with the specialty retailer by clicking on the Log In link, which appears at the top of each page of the site. Once a shopper has created an account, he or she can save products, view past orders and check out more quickly.
Each page also has a Wedding and Gift Registry link on top, and the site enables shoppers to link these registries to their accounts. By doing so, the site visitor can manage his or her gift registry, make updates and add more items, or update or store information such as home addresses and credit cards.
The site also allows visitors to see items they have browsed in the past on the bottom of each page. This section also includes clearance deals that may interest the shopper and items that the site has selected for the shopper, according to what products he or she has browsed in the past.
The site has already received praise from the financial community. A research note from Credit Suisse said the new site is “a significant improvement, and one that expands the omnichannel presence for (Bed Bath & Beyond), and … positions it as the price leader in its space.” The note added that the site now offers in-store pickup for items purchased online, and “better product information and account capabilities.”
