HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-Sears Holdings has named Jeff Balagna executive vice president and chief information officer.
Balagna has thus assumed charge over Sears Holdings’ technology and infrastructure initiatives in its stores and support centers. He reports to the company’s Information & Technology Group board, and has succeeded Keith Sherwell, who left Sears Holdings to pursue other opportunities.
Before joining Sears Holdings, Balagna was chief information officer for Eli Lilly. Prior to this, he served with Carlson Cos. in a variety of posts, including CEO of Carlson Marketing. His career also includes information-technology positions with Medtronic, GE Medical Systems Americas and Ford Motor Co.
