NEW YORK-The International Housewares Association offered vendors the chance to preview product introductions slated for the upcoming International Home + Housewares Show at a media event here yesterday.
The products on display covered a variety of housewares categories, ranging from electric and nonelectric cooking products to storage items, gadgets, cutlery and tabletop. Among the vendors that appeared at the event were Groupe SEB’s Krups and Rowenta brands; Hamilton Beach, which ventured into a new category with its Breakfast Sandwich Maker; Libbey; Lifetime Brands; Meyer Corp.; Oreck, which showcased its new entries into air purifiers; Spectrum Brands, which will return to the show after an absence of some years with new products for Remington and Russell Hobbs; and World Kitchen.
Also at the event were Corkcicle, which is launching the Chillsner in-bottle beer chiller; Cristel, debuting several collections of cookware with both fixed and removable handles; and Fagor America, with extensions on its juicer offerings. First-time participants included Sleep Innovations, the basic-bedding manufacturer, which showcased its Paula Deen licensed line of anti-fatigue kitchen mats and gel-foam bedding.
