NEW YORK–Geoffrey D. Lurie has joined Marvin Traub Associates’ newly formed Special Situations division.
MTA Special Situations will focus on serving clients in transition and perform services such as turnarounds, restructurings, interim management, merger integration and operations improvements.
Lurie has an extensive background as a turnaround and restructuring executive and consultant for the past 30 years. He served as CEO of The North Face and negotiated the sale of that company to VF Corp., and more recently served as chief restructuring officer of Rock and Republic Enterprises, also sold to VF Corp. Lurie founded GDL Management, a turnaround firm which was merged into Mahoney Cohen and Co. He was also a partner in Touche Ross & Co.
