ATLANTA—Gary Fazio, who has led Mattress Firm to become a major retail chain of mattresses, has been named chief executive officer of Simmons.
Fazio succeeds Steve Fendrich, president and chief operating officer, who is leaving the company. Fazio will assume his new post tomorrow.
Fazio joined Mattress Firm in 2001 as president and CEO, and guided the firm to more than 500 locations in 38 states. He was named chairman of the company earlier this year.
