MIAMI–Lighting manufacturer Catalina Lighting has filed for bankruptcy protection, according to a report from Bloomberg News. Filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court here, the company listed assets of as much as $10 million and debt up to $50 million.
A. Corydon Meyer, chief executive officer of Catalina, was quoted as saying that the recession had hit Catalina “particularly hard.”
Catalina did not return calls at presstime.
