PLEASANTON, Calif.–Ross Stores has created a new management alignment that includes the promotion of three key executives to president positions.
Barbara Rentler, previously executive vice president of merchandising of Ross Dress for Less, has been named president and chief merchandising officer, in which she adds responsibility for Ross’ home businesses to her current responsibility over apparel and apparel-related merchandising. Michael O’Sullivan, formerly executive vice president and chief administrative officer, has become president and chief operating officer and adds store operations to his current responsibility over the supply chain, information technology, strategy, finance, legal issues and human resources.
James Fassio, previously executive vice president of property development, construction and store design, has been named president and chief development officer, overseeing Ross’ entire real-estate strategy, including new store development, construction and store design for both Ross Dress for Less and dd’s DISCOUNTS stores.
All three presidents report directly to Michael Balmuth, vice chairman and chief executive officer.
Among other executive moves at the off-price retail company, Angela Culhane, previously group vice president and divisional merchandise manager, has been promoted to senior vice president and general merchandise manager of housewares, cosmetics and fragrances.
