FRANKFURT, Germany-Tendence 2010 will return to its traditional August schedule, as the show moves to Aug. 27 to Aug. 31.
Show organizers Messe Frankfurt said the move reflects an extensive poll of exhibitors and visitors, with two thirds of those polled recommending early autumn dates. Tendence 2008 and 2009 were held in early July.
“In these difficult economic times, planning certainty has top priority for the trade and this is to be seen in a more conservative ordering policy with orders being placed at shorter notice,” said Dr. Michael Peters, member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “In view of the new and unequivocal results of this poll, Messe Frankfurt has once again decided to take the initiative. We have, therefore, accepted the vote and recommendation of the Strategy Commission and are moving Tendence back to its traditional time.”
