CHICAGO–The leading retailers in the casual furnishings industry were honored at the 2009 Apollo Awards during the recent International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market.
Awarded by the International Casual Furnishings Association, the Apollo Awards celebrate the influential contributions made by industry icons. Winners are selected from hundreds of retailers throughout the country.
The 2009 Apollo Awards winners are Williams All Seasons, based in Highland Park, Ill., in the single-store category; Fishel’s, based in Portland, Ore., was the multi-store winner.
Also announced was the Lillian B. Winchester Award for best in show which was given to Kettler for its Sereno Barrel Back Chair.
In addition, Richard Frinier and Art Thompson were each honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for exemplary contributions to the casual furnishings industry and to their communities.
