CHARLOTTE, N.C.–Bill Fortson of BJ’s Home Accents, has been elected president of the Accessories Resource Team, the association for the decorative accessories industry. Also elected were Steve Crowder of Guildmaster, as executive vice president, and Kris Lindsey of Kinder Harris. The three will begin serving their terms Nov. 1.
ART thanked the people rotating off of the board for their service: Jack Fleischer, Hermitage Lighting; Carla Greenblatt, Havertys; Jane Kieke, Taylors on Ten; Terry Stewart, Midwest CBK; and Colleen Visage, Progress Lighting, who served as president of the board this past year.
In addition, ART will host a bowling party for members, guests and ARTS award finalists on Monday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m., during High Point market. It will be catered by Frederick Rayner of Global Views. Visit accessoriesresourceteam.org for registration.
