WOODBURY, N.Y.—Jennifer Convertibles has signed leases to open two new Ashley Furniture HomeStore locations in the New York City area.
One will be on Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, N.Y., while the other is on Route 110 in Farmingdale, N.Y. The new stores will increase the number of Ashley locations in the New York City area to four. In a statement from Jennifer Convertibles, Harley J. Greenfield, chief executive officer, said the Ashley division produced about 15 percent of the company’s total revenue in the last fiscal quarter. “By adding additional locations in the same geographical area, we expect to achieve economies of scale in all areas of our Ashley Furniture HomeStore model,” Greenfield said.
As of yesterday, the company owned 142 stores and licenses 21 stores under the names Jennifer Convertibles and Jennifer Leather, and operates two licensed Ashley Furniture HomeStores.
