WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—The Eco Choice Awards, which honor the best “green” products from the gift and home industries, will make their bow at the upcoming New York International Gift Fair.
Co-sponsored by the gift fair and GREENRetailer magazine, the award will recognize the most innovative and environmentally responsible products in the show’s SustainAbility: design for a better world display, a special curated exhibit showcasing green gift and home products. Retailers will vote on these products throughout the run of the gift fair, which is scheduled to take place from Saturday, Aug. 15, to Thursday, Aug. 20 in New York City. The winners will be announced online, and will be published in GREENRetailer’s fall 2009 issue.
Launched by the gift fair in 2006, the SustainAbility program recognizes and encourages the integration of environmental responsibility with profitable business practices. At the August show, more than 175 products created from recycled, recyclable, sustainable or indigenous materials will be showcased.
