SUFFERN, N.Y.–Jim McCusker, long-time president of De’Longhi USA, is returning to the housewares market with a new firm called Vianté Home Products Co.
The company, which will launch its first product offerings at the International Home & Housewares Show later this month, will market coffeemakers, cooking products, floor-care products and home-comfort products. McCusker, president of Vianté, said the new concern will offer its products under the brand names Café Vianté (coffeemakers), Cucina Vianté (cooking products) and Casa Vianté (floor-care and home-comfort merchandise). He said the products are priced in the middle to upper ranges for each category.
“We will exhibit about 20 products,” McCusker said. The products are being geared toward department stores, specialty stores, catalogs and other upscale retailers.
McCusker retired in April from De’Longhi, where he had served as president since 1980.
