NEW YORK–Leigh Van Swall has been named senior director of licensing, and Jack McKenney has been appointed director of marketing at Brand Matter.
Van Swall is responsible for leading the new business development team and for sales initiatives for Brand Matter’s apparel brands. McKenney heads the company’s marketing and public-relations activities for the entire portfolio of brands. Both executives report to Rick Platt, the company’s president, and both positions are new in the company.
Van Swall has 10 years of experience in licensing for companies such as Nautica, Sean John, Tommy Hilfiger and Joseph Abboud, the latter of which was her most recent position. McKenney, who most recently was an executive with Waverly in its marketing, public-relations and brand-strategy areas, has also worked in these functions for Filene’s and Filene’s Basement.
