ROSEMONT, Ill.–The Housewares Charity Foundation will honor Timothy Adams, chairman of Macy’s Home Store, and Lyn Kirby, president and chief executive officer of Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, at the Housewares Charity Foundation gala on March 23.
Adams will be honored as Lifetime Humanitarian, and Kirby will receive the Creativity Leadership Award. The event, the 12th annual gala for the HCF, will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the HCF’s legacy charity. It will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in conjunction with the 2009 International Home & Housewares Show.
Adams, who has been chairman of Macy’s Home Store since July 2005, serves on the board of Community Partnership for Homeless, a non-profit corporation that helps homeless people in transitioning off the streets and attaining stability and self-sufficiency. Kirby has been president, CEO and director of Ulta since December 1999.
