NEW YORK–Giftware companies Roman Inc. and Cottage Garden Collections have agreed to merge.
Both the Roman and Cottage Garden brands will remain intact. Roman, based in Bloomingdale, Ill., produces and distributes gifts and decorative accessories, including a range of inspirational, special occasion and year-round giftware. Cottage Gardens, based in Bainbridge, Ind., makes sentiment-based music boxes and musical frames. The two family-owned companies will consolidate their “brand equity, their rich heritage, and their wisdom of economic efficiencies,” according to a joint statement. Both companies will utilize Roman’s sales force and showroom presence and “build on those mutual platforms, create quality products, cross merchandise and deliver retail solutions.”
