NEW YORK–Julie Hale of Excelsior, Mo., is the grand-prize winner of Waverly’s 85th annual decorating contest.
Hale was honored by NexCen Brands, Waverly’s parent company, for her decorated outdoor-patio space. The contest selected a winner and five runner-ups based on the originality, creativity, expression and image quality of their use of Waverly products in decorating spaces in their homes. As grand-prize winner, Hale receives a trip for two here and a meeting with Sandra Lee, star of the Food Network program “Semi-Homemade Cooking” and a Waverly spokeswoman.
In a NexCen statement, Rick Platt, president of Waverly, said Hale’s decorated patio “truly reflects the timeless and classic aesthetic of the Waverly brand.”
