NEW YORK–Portico Home + Spa has entered into a licensing agreement with Home Source International whereby the latter will manufacture Portico’s line of organic and/or sustainable home textiles.
Under the terms of the agreement, Home Source will produce, market and sell Portico’s collections of fashion bedding, towels, bathrobes, decorative pillows, throws and blankets. The line will be geared toward selected department stores, fine linen specialty boutiques and luxury hospitality chains.
According to a Portico statement, all of Home Source’s facilities will be required to be certified according to the Global Organic Textiles Standard, and meet the criteria of the U.S. Department of Agriculture for organic textiles products. The factories will also be audited for trade and social compliance, and all packaging and labeling will be environmentally responsible as well.
